Co. B, 10th Iowa InfantryContacts: 2nd Lt. Michael Carr, Commander Cpl. Henry Krecklow, Adjutant Co. B, 10th Iowa Volunteer Infantry was organized in 2003. During its existence, it has had an exciting part to play in Iowa. The company supplied the commanding officer and national color bearer for the Battle Flag Ball gala in 2006 at the Iowa State Historical building. It has also provides a large contingent at the Atlantic, Iowa Memorial Day ceremonies, the annual memorial service at the Colonel W. H. Kinsman monument in Council Bluffs as well as color guards in several parades. The keynote speaker for the 2007 Veterans Day ceremony at the Atlantic, Iowa Middle School was a member of this unit. Service Record, 10th Iowa Volunteer Infantry RegimentThe regiment was formed at Montezuma and Iowa City from Sept. 6 to Oct. 26, 1861 to serve for 3 years.
